Local Government Updates
- Iredell County Board of Commissioners Meeting Relocation: Due to ongoing renovations at the Government Center, Iredell County Board of Commissioners meetings are temporarily relocated to alternate facilities through the remainder of 2026.
- The next regular meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at 6:00 PM.
- The meeting will be held at the NC Cooperative Extension Office (Agricultural Center), located at 444 Bristol Dr., Room 110.
- Statesville City Council: The Statesville City Council is scheduled to meet on Monday, March 16, 2026, and the meeting will include a public comment session.
- Mooresville Erosion Control Changes: Effective March 1, 2026, Iredell County no longer issues erosion control permits within Mooresville town limits and its Extraterritorial Jurisdiction (ETJ). Plans for work in these areas must now be submitted directly to the Town of Mooresville.
- EMS Leadership: Iredell County EMS Deputy Director Robby Milton earned the professional designation of Chief EMS Officer (CEMSO) on March 11, 2026. This makes Iredell County one of only two EMS agencies in North Carolina to have two CEMSO-credentialed leaders.

- Felony Meth Arrest (March 9, 2026): Dwayne Edward Stanley, 53, was arrested after a motor vehicle checkpoint. He was charged with Felony Possession of Methamphetamine and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
- Fugitive Arrest (March 7, 2026): Kimberly Ann Beasley was located hiding inside a pontoon boat in a backyard on Old Mocksville Road in Statesville. Beasley had an outstanding fugitive warrant from Grayson County, Virginia, and was additionally charged with Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Methamphetamine.

- The event ran from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
