Silver Spring singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Eli Lev is set to perform at Grassy Creek Vineyard & Winery on March 13, 2027, at 2 p.m., bringing his signature blend of folk-pop music to North Carolina.
Washington, D.C. music scene champions Eli Lev and Emma G have joined forces for a high-energy throwback rock single titled “The Only Way Outta Here”. Celebrating a decade of creative partnership, the indie folk powerhouse and acclaimed singer-songwriter deliver their first official co-written release.
The journey for Lev and Emma G began ten years ago on the D.C. busking scene, where they first shared a microphone on the National Mall to perform Blackstreet’s “No Diggity” for MetroPerforms. Over the years, the duo has shared high-profile regional stages, including performances for Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton, the National Cherry Blossom Festival, and The Kennedy Center.
Written as a direct response to a world shaped by conflict, division, and noise, “The Only Way Outta Here” tackles social tension head-on. The track opens with dark, minor-key dissonance before building into a full-band arrangement featuring roaring electric guitars, dynamic bass, driving percussion, and a blistering guitar solo. It culminates in a sweeping, open-hearted outro reminiscent of classic Fleetwood Mac, anchored by the hypnotic chant: “Trusting in love is the only way outta here.”
The single was recorded at Hear Me Roar Studios in Silver Spring, Maryland, produced by Kimberly Shires, and mixed and mastered by Taylor Rigg.
Reflecting on the collaboration, Eli Lev shared: “This song feels amazing to sing, and I would’ve only written and sung a song like this with Emma’s help. I feel like her strength, her power, and her experience carries the message of love home. I feel my main responsibility is to act as a grounding wire for her soaring vocals.”
Emma G added: “Eli and I were inspired to write these lyrics because we see so much dissonance and confusion around us. But we know that the only way through and out is by listening, care, dialogue, consideration, and love.”
